Corporate & Society Packages
Please Note Days for Society Bookings are Tuesdays PM, Wednesdays & Thursdays.
Originally opened for play in December 1896, the course has seen many improvements since then. Relatively short at 6,364 yards, it is still a fair test of golf with small, well-protected greens. Miss them in the wrong place and you have little chance of rescuing your par.
Set in 150 acres of splendid woodland, Maidenhead Golf Club is reasonably flat and is not too tiring for 36 Holes play. It has several feature holes. The 4th is a lengthy par 4 measuring 474 yards. A long, accurate drive is essential to give you any chance of reaching the green in two. Then you can be faced with a demanding putt if the pin is on the back tier. The 13th, a 145 yards par 3, is all carry. Visitors very often under-club and finish in the pit.
Beware the 8th. Look carefully at what awaits you if you are short and left of the green, and make sure you aim your second shot at the right place. Those shots failing to make the green leave you with a very interesting recovery.
Finally, the 18th provides a truly great finishing hole which demands a good drive and accurate second shot, with the clubhouse and out of bounds line directly behind the green.
This is a great golf course that has stood the test of time, and when you conquer it you will really have the game of your life.
The Club's Professional, Steve Geary , who has a well stocked shop, will be pleased to help in any way possible towards making your day a success. Golf Balls, Polo Shirts and Sweaters can all be branded with a company logo if there is sufficient time.
Instead of the traditional 36 holes, why not arrange a golf clinic plus 18 holes. Give additional prizes for the longest drive, the shot nearest the pin, etc. Ask the office to provide the markers on your form and the professionals will supply everything you need.
